Trained as a classical harpist, I have always enjoyed many musical styles. I love to explore the varied challenges and freedoms each one offers. Music has such capacity to elicit powerful emotions and beloved memories as well as brand new and surprising perspectives. Concerts are always tailored to a specific audience and include an array of classics, pop, jazz and golden oldies.
Throughout my life, it has always been a joy to connect to people - other musicians, students as well as audiences. On the road with Harp to Heart, I have given concerts in schools, churches, seniors residence, parking lots, campgrounds and even waiting to board ferries. Each one holds a special memory and reminds me how we are all connected. There are so many stories and treasured moments to hold in my heart and share through my instrument.
An active and curious observer, it has been a blessing to live in and explore many parts of the world as a traveller. Languages are a passion and each one gives me a better opportunity to meet people where they’re at; experiencing, through their eyes and language, the depths of a new culture, what makes it special and unique and to discover what is common to our shared human experience.
I am blessed to live a life full of beauty, embracing Abundance to share with others. Family, friends, encouragement and prayers are what keep me going when my vision clouds by doing too much. Balance is such a challenge and so essential!
In my 50's, I began to experience the limitations that life and society began to impose. When I chose to shift my perspective to Possibility, the world opened up to unimaginable joy and a new invigoration into my Third Act. What a surprise!!
My heart is touched deeply by so many moments on this journey. Though the farewells are incredibly hard, I have also learned that joy will greet me not far beyond the next turn in the road. All in life is a gift of Grace.
